Who are we?
My name is Martina
I was born in the Czech Republic. After finishing my studies, I lived in England for a year and in Germany for 17 years. For the last five years, I have been living in Jamaica. I first visited the Caribbean in 2011, when I sailed on a cruise ship from the Dutch Caribbean islands off the coast of Venezuela around the so-called ABC triangle. From south to west—to the Greater Antilles—I was captivated by the beauty of the Caribbean.
Each of these larger and smaller islands was special and unique in its own way. Surrounded by untouched nature, fascinated by the beautiful images painted by Mother Nature, I slowly but surely approached the Jamaican coast. It was love at first sight, and I quickly realized that I had found my paradise. I was greeted by a pleasant atmosphere to the rhythm of reggae tones, the smell of marijuana wafting through the air, and a group of helpful Rastafarians welcoming me with broad, friendly smiles.
It was the beginning of a new chapter in my life. An extraordinary vacation turned into a passion and enthusiasm for discovering the unknown. I gradually explored the unknown. I saw what I could recommend to you if you feel like trying something new. I waded through the jungle and searched for the most interesting places for you. I tried different types of accommodation because we all like a good night's sleep without annoying insects, cockroaches, rats, or spiders, and a working shower.
My name is Genius
I was born in Jamaica. As the eldest of five siblings, I learned responsibility and discipline at an early age.
While studying at technical school, like everyone else, I earned extra money doing various part-time jobs, and thanks to that, I soon discovered that I enjoyed cooking. I didn't hesitate and decided to do an apprenticeship. After completing it, I obtained a certificate and was able to devote myself fully to what I really enjoyed. For the next six years, I worked as a chef in one of the best hotels in Montego Bay.
In addition, I offered my services (weddings, birthdays, cooking on a catamaran, picnics, food delivery, party service, catering, etc.) mainly to tourists from the US and Canada. During this time, I had the opportunity to travel all over Jamaica and learn about the work of a driver, guide, and translator. However, my passion is preparing food, from picnics to street food to fabulous barbecues.
You can rely on my professional commitment, creativity, and positive attitude.
